I started working with Open Arts Festival! in May 2021 and still play a key role in large events held by the organisation.
For OAF’s Music Festival, I arranged timetables, consent forms and logistics to ensure for a smooth event from the entertainment side. During the event, I assisted with the sound operation, setting up new microphone arrangements during intermissions, ensuring volume and EQ levels were correct, and acted as liaison between artists and event runners.
For the OAF! Comedy Nights held at 1 Mill Street, I act as Audio Technician, ensuring microphone levels and the general sound of the venue is of the best quality. This is so the audience have the best experience, but also if the talent wants to record their performances, they are able to. These events are incredibly successful and continue to be held, and I love being a part of the team.
For OAF!’s Music in the Woods festival, I operated as performers manager. This involved communicating with artists and sound crews, adapting to any issues faced by artists/production team, and coordinating the performers to ensure a smooth, professional show for an audience. The festival was a great success, with new plans to continue in 2023.
